Spend an afternoon on beautiful San Juan Island, WA practicing foam-free centerpiece design using the best local high-summer blooms. Learn how to maximize the potential of a reusable kenzan, or flower frog, and take one home to use again and again. Siri will guide students through her process for creating organic, effortless arrangements inspired by the forms, combinations and contours of nature. Also on hand will be Margaret Thorson, expert plantswoman and farmer, to share her wealth of knowledge and answer students' questions about growing their own cut flowers. The class will culminate with a tabletop styling demonstration and casual Q&A session.
Treats and afternoon tea will be served. Vessel, reusable kenzan, floral supplies and flowers are included. Clippers will also be provided for the duration of the class. Number of students is limited and fees are non-refundable.
