Fall in Color
September 2018 - San Juan island, WA
A celebration of the coming of autumn's abundance to the Pacific Northwest in full, glorious color! In this afternoon workshop, students received guidance in selecting a palette and creating a centerpiece that was both vibrant and cohesive using locally grown and foraged flowers, foliage and seasonal fruits. Siri demonstrated her step-by-step process for building foam-free arrangements inspired by the forms, combinations and contours of nature. Margaret Thorson, expert plantswoman and experienced farmer, was also on hand to offer advice regarding the cultivation of organic cut flowers in the home garden. Photos by Cere Demuth.
